Jamaal Roland, Jr. was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Savannah State University to get a bachelor's degree in business management. A member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and the International Business Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. He enjoys motivational speaking going by the name “Reverend Roland” and radio hosting and has years of experience inspiring and empowering others to achieve their goals. Jamaal has a podcast called the Overlooked and Underrated Podcast where he debates sports and music, and he even had Jacob Williams from Wild n Out as a guest. He has provided play-by-play and color analyst commentary for Savannah State basketball on Tiger Sports Network in 2023 and Black College Sports Network in 2024, among other platforms. He co-hosted the sports debate show "On the Contraire" at WSSU Savannah 104.1 FM. He says: "Someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality."
