The Regal Hollywood Cinemas in the Chamblee area has shutdown. The theater didn't announce its closing. It was said that there were trucks and workers moving boxes on January 6.

Chick-fil-a has decided to make a slight change to the waffle fry recipe to make fries stay crisper longer but still have the same taste. Fans of the food chain are very upset and say that the fries do not taste good.

The old Ramada Hotel in Macon, GA was a staple in the city's downtown skyline but fell into despair. The hotel was demolished on New Years Day and many gathered to watch.

Pay tribute to former president Jimmy Carter at the Carter center. He is in repose at The Carter Center since until Jan. 7 at 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Then he will be taken to Washington DC, for services there.
MARTA is providing bus shuttle services from King rail station to the Carter center for those wanting to pay tribute. Attendees must take bus or walk or ride a bike to the center.

Former president Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024 at 100 years old. He passed from metastatic melanoma, the deadliest and most aggressive skin cancer. He was diagnosed in 2015 with the illness and was treated with an immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab (keytruda) which was a groundbreaking shift in treatment for melanoma and other malignant cancers.
